Yep!  When Nana created the first batches of what would later become Tango, she used carrots as the base instead of tomatoes simply because they grew close to where she lived.  The carrots give Tango a pleasant natural sweetness, and it's one of the reasons we don't have to add sugar to our sauce to make it deli

Tango is a mild-to-medium level hot sauce, certainly milder than most hot sauces on the market.  The Tango flavor is designed to complement your food, not dominate. 

Hot Tango comes in at around 3000-5000 scoville heat units, which is comporable in heat to a Cholula or Tabasco.  

Truffle Tango is milder, measuring at around 1000-2000 scoville heat units, comporable more to a Frank's Red Hot or Texas Pete hot sauce.

Eggs is the most common food that people enjoy putting Tango on.  It also pairs magically with avocados.  Also pizza, sandwiches, tacos, sushi, chips, veggies, seafood, burgers, salads, everything!

Fresh Habanero and Scotch Bonnet peppers.  Never dried.

Yes!  All of our products are 100% Vegan and Gluten-Free.  Also Keto approved.  And plant-based.

Up to you!  Like anything, Tango will stay fresher longer if you do.  We refrigerate ours, but it's just a matter of preference.  It's like ketchup- most people keep it in their refrigerator, restaurants keep it on the table.  It all comes down to how you enjoy it most.

Tango is certified as 'shelf-stable', which basically means that the pH/water activity is low enough to prevent harmful bacteria from ever growing inside a bottle. That said, we find that Tango is tastier the fresher it is. We recommend eating it within the first two years after it's made, so that's how we determine our 'Best By' date. When you see this date on the bottom of the bottle, you know that bottle was filled and capped on that date, 2 years earlier.
